Commercial industry in the current period is totally different from Cultural Industry on the basis of techniques, processes, methods, labor etc. Both the industries have their distinct characteristics, as discussed as follows.
The concept of mass production and mass consumption exists in commercial industry. Mass production refers to the process of creating large numbers of similar products efficiently. Mass production is typically characterized by some type of mechanization, as with an assembly line, to achieve high volume, the detailed organization of materials flow, careful control of quality standards and division of labor.
Hence initiating this project will provide an initial platform to display Visual Arts and & Crafts of KPK Artisans. It will also boost self-employment as well as contribute towards GDP of the country. With this project, we will get opportunity to begin the process of copyrighting genuine craftsmen and artisan work.
Mass consumption refers to the process of consuming large number of similar products. In a commercial industrial environment, the producer adopts various techniques to create consumers at a large scale in the market for his products. As the commercial products are produced at a very large scale, therefore these products have to be used on a large scale which is a main characteristic of commercial industry.
All the processes related to production of commercial goods in an industry are involved a complex mechanical process and setup. Heavy and complicated machinery is used in such type of industry for the production of commercial goods. There is no concept to do most of the work with hand as is required in a cultural industry.
In a commercial industry, a producer cannot sell his products directly to the end consumer. For selling his products, the producer has to follow an unbreakable chain. He sells his products to whole seller, then to retailer and at last the product is sold to the end consumer. So in a commercial industry, middle man is involved in between the producer and the end customer.

He does not consider about the environmental pollution and other hazards effects caused in the locality by his organization. According to sustainability of the business, the producer should maintain the quality of product, avoid unjustifiable profit, refrain from labor exploitation etc.
